hello all. trying to come up with an explaination of who i am… wooooooo nelly. not an easy task.
lets start with artist.
The definition of an artist is wide-ranging and covers a broad spectrum of activities to do with creating art, practicing the arts and/or demonstrating an art. Debate, both historical and present day, suggests that defining the concept of an artist will continue to be difficult.
I just graduated this May from Pratt Institute with my BFA in Printmaking. This was a great accomplishment, since for me it faced the challenge of going back to art school in my thirties.
In my “spare” time I enjoy goint to Barnes and Noble while sipping a green tea latte browsing some art and fashion magazines. Museums are wonderful and I love them even more in the evenings for some reason.
Some things i love are. paper, notebooks and sketchbooks, new art supplies, books, vintage cameras, fabric, unprimed canvas, metals, corrosion, clay, galleries, boots, barnes and noble, coffee, chai lattes, green tea, images….PINK….sand…. chocolate… trees, pigeons.. parks…. snow, cinnamon sugar pretzel sticks with caramel dipping sauce. street fairs, art fairs, any kind of festivals.
